25 Best Breakup songs compiled by a Divorce Attorney
I was recently representing a client in divorce mediation. The client was experiencing the emotional turmoil typical of what can be one of the most challenging frustrations in life and apologized to me for losing her temper at one point and crying at another point. As I mentioned to her, we’re all human and after many years of guiding clients through this process, I am neither offended nor shocked. In fact, I said that it would be unusual for someone in her situation not to be upset and emotional.
Regardless of who initiates the process, a divorce is the loss of a spouse. What follows is often a roller-coaster ride of shock, anger, resentment, and guilt before any real closure is achieved. To complicate matters further, if children are involved, we have to fiercely advocate for our clients, while still guiding them in a direction to be able to effectively co-parent with someone they aren’t going to be married to anymore. It can be an overwhelming dilemma that I wouldn’t wish on anyone! At our firm, the Law Office of Joshua S. Reed, we are ready and willing to help you face the inevitable hurdles with seasoned and effective counsel. With all that in mind, and knowing that music is great therapy, our office has compiled a list of 25 great breakup songs to help people through tough times.
