Helping people through difficult times has been a primary motivator of Joshua’s since he was young. In the 7th grade, an immediate family member sustained an injury that resulted in months of tedious and difficult litigation proceedings. Joshua saw firsthand how frustrating and traumatic the legal system can be to good people and has since made it his goal to help them with the law. He was inspired to attend law school and to prioritize leading future clients through the murky waters of their legal cases.

Joshua knows East Tennessee and its population well; a native himself, Joshua graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and went on to secure his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Joshua has a wife and kids and, in his free time, enjoys hiking in the Smoky Mountains and almost any outdoor-related activity. Perhaps most notably, he is an avid cyclist. He is a Mountain Bike Coach for the Appalachian Youth Cycling team and even sponsors a cycling team — which may be the reason for his emphasis on proper cycling safety measures both in and out of the courtroom.
